The Manufacturer's Material Warranty
Premium capped composite and PVC decking (like the Trex and TimberTech lines we install) carries a 25–50 year limited residential warranty, often with a matching fade-and-stain warranty. Railing, fasteners, and lighting carry their own coverage. The fine print most homeowners miss: these warranties are prorated and material-only — the manufacturer will ship you replacement boards, but they will not pay anyone to remove the old ones or install the new ones.
